Car Insurance Daihatsu (Car Insurance). Car won't accelerate! Help!?Car won't accelerate! Help!? I have an 89 ford ranger and when I give it gas it won't go anywhere. I have tried reverse neutral and 1st and nothing works? What is wrong with it? Is it a manual transmission? It sounds like your clutch needs replaced. It has an auto-detect feature. the car won't drive because you're a woman. i'm sorry i hate it when that happens to me! some good advice is to take 13-17 oranges and cut them up into triangles. once you've done that place them under the hood in four rows. The placement of the oranges doesn't matter just put them in four rows across all of the parts under the hood. The acidity of the oranges will surely give your car a big boost! I hope this helps! release the parking brake. If you did that the transmission is done. Auto parts : Cargo Lock Acura 1995 . Cargo Mat Alfa Romeo 1996 . Cargo Organizer Audi 1997 . Daihatsu . How to Replace the Idler Pulley on a 1998 Mercury SableThe idler pulley on a 1998 Mercury Sable is used to maintain belt alignment. The bearings in the pulley are sealed and cannot be greased. If the pulley grinds or squeaks, it should be replaced as the bearings will soon give out. Likewise, if the pulley has a lot of resistance or doesn't turn smoothly, it should also be replaced. The top of the idler pulley is smooth as is the tensioner pulley. When replacing the belt, it is easiest to leave one of the two for last as the belt slides right onto the pulley. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Set of sockets Ratchet Step by Step : 1 Locate the belt routing diagram on the fan shroud or the underside of the engine. If the sticker is missing, sketch out a diagram of the routing so you know how the belt goes on. It can go on several ways, but only one way is the correct way. 2 Fit an appropriate socket onto the tensioner pulley bolt then snap a ratchet into the socket. Push the tensioner away from the engine to relieve tension on the belt. Lift the belt off the pulleys. Move the tensioner back into its original position but do not let it snap back into place. 3 Remove the center bolt from the idler pulley with the appropriate socket. Pull the idler pulley off the engine. 4 Install the new idler pulley on the engine and tighten the bolt firmly. Route the belt around the pulleys, starting at the crankshaft pulley and leaving the tensioner pulley until last. Hold tension on the belt with one hand and with the other hand, slide the socket and ratchet onto the tensioner bolt. Move the tensioner towards the engine. 5 Slide the belt over the tensioner then release the tensioner but do not allow it to snap back into place. Check that the belt is properly aligned on all the pulleys.
Daihatsu . How to Replace an Infiniti G35 Drive BeltThe Infiniti G35 drive belt is a serpentine belt that runs the drive pulleys on the AC compressor, alternator and power steering pump. Using one long belt prevents the need for multiple drive belts. This allowed the engineers who designed the G35 to make the engine compartment smaller. The belt uses an idler pulley to maintain tension on the serpentine belt. This idler pulley is the key to changing the drive belt on your Infiniti G35. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need 3/8-inch ratchet drive Step by Step : 1 Locate the serpentine pulley diagram printed on the underside of the hood or on the radiator fan shroud. The diagram shows you where the idler pulley is and how to route the serpentine belt around the other pulleys. If you cannot locate the diagram, draw one yourself. 2 Place the 3/8-inch ratchet driver into the square hole on the face of the idler pulley and lift up on the handle. This will release tension on the belt. 3 Pull the belt off the idler pulley. Remove the belt from the rest of the pulleys. 4 Place the new belt on all of the pulleys except the idler pulley. Refer to the diagram for assistance. 5 Pull up on the ratchet handle and place the belt over the idler pulley. Let go of the handle and remove the ratchet from the pulley. For those of you who have older vehicles with non-electronic ignition systems that need regular tune-ups, the good news is that this may be the last book that still provides easy instructions for tuning your car yourself. This chapter tells you how frequently you should do it, what parts you need, how to make sure that you get the right ones, and how to do the main tasks associated with servicing your distributor and adjusting dwell and timing.
